Working pattern: Term Time, Permanent position
Hours:35 hours/wk., 8.30 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.
Salary: Pay Scale D2: £12,786 - £15,970 (depending on experience and qualifications)

We require from September 2017 a conscientious person with a professional approach to the education of our boys, to be part of a team of cover supervisors in our academy.
You will be responsible for the supervision of classes in the absence of a teacher and are expected to insist upon the highest standards of behaviour, maintaining a purposeful working environment for our students. You will need to be very flexible and adaptable as the role will require you to fulfil a variety of roles including: invigilation, lunch duties and administration duties as well as replacing a teacher in their absence.
Previous experience in schools is beneficial, although training will be provided. However, you will need to be confident in your ability to maintain the school's behaviour expectations in classes, and be able to deal with any challenging behaviour in a calm yet firm manner. You will also be expected to work in line with Teachers' Standards and Ofsted requirements: training will also be provided on this aspect. A good standard of education and literacy is essential as is a passionate interest in the learning of young people. You will need have good ICT skills.
